Teaching and Coaching

Henrique understands that the voice is intrinsic to one’s self-expression and identity. He works with students and professionals alike to familiarize themselves with their instruments, thus becoming more confident in who they are and how they participate in the world around them.

He is joining the faculty of Southeast Missouri State University’s School of Music in the fall of 2026.

Henrique holds a D.M.A. in Solo Voice Performance from the University of Maryland, where he studied with bass-baritone Kevin Short, who — in addition to teaching at UMD — is a Metropolitan Opera stalwart and a highly-regarded teacher at the Juilliard School of Music.
